Set Position Units / Scaling / Zero position

Select the Servo menu and set the desired scaling in Gear & Axis Configuration as follows:
 
Gear ratio:
6091h.01h Gear In turns / motor revolutions - revolutions on the motor shaft, e.g. 5 . (Or 1 if no gearbox is present)
6091h.02h Gear Out turns / shaft revolutions - revolutions at the gearbox output shaft, e.g. 1
 
Set scaling/resolution:
6092h.01h Feed / Positions per turn - When the motor makes one revolution at the gearbox output - by how much does the position counter increase?
 
Example values for "Feed":
360 - if you want to mount a turntable at the gearbox output and specify positions in angular degrees.
100000 - if you use a toothed belt axis with drive roller circumference d=100 mm (e.g. max GmbH MZK 040) and want to work in micrometer coordinates. A  REFGO move command G100000 then corresponds to "Move to absolute position 100,000 micrometers / 100mm", a move command G2500 corresponds to "Move to absolute position 2.5mm"

NOTE: For linear direct drives (MCFLAT, MCSHORT), these settings are generally not adjusted. Only the Feed / Position per turn setting is relevant here: By increasing the value by a factor of 10, for example, you can scale the displayed position units - a micrometer scale becomes a 0.1-micrometer scale.

For drives with absolute position feedback (e.g., MC349_..._AE) and linear direct drives (MCFLAT, MCSHORT, ...):
If necessary, reset the zero position - Select the Parameters menu and enter the following command in RefGo Command:

REF35
 
Execute CiA 402 homing method 35. For motors with absolute position measurement, the new zero position is saved permanently and remains valid after a power reset.

(For motors without absolute encoders, the zero/reference position is set as part of the initialization and application process. Suitable referencing methods are also available for this purpose.)
